Thanks Carl!

Tonight, I worked on the Hemi.  I added the headers, carbs and air cleaner.  I am thinking about adding some fuel lines to the carbs from the fuel pump.

67GTX22.jpg

I drilled out the distributor and added plug wires to it and the coil.  I need to find a piece of black wire here in the shop to make boots for the plug wires then I can paint the coil and distributor.

67GTX23.jpg

I painted other parts and pieces in various shades of black.

A mockup of the engine and the exhaust shows a need for some modifications.

67GTX25.jpg

A little measuring, some cutting and the exhaust meets up where I want it.  While I was at it, I removed the H-pipe so I can spread the pipes apart to meet  with the header collectors.

67GTX28.jpg

Some Testors gloss black enamel and some Alclad II Chrome paint and the exhaust tips are chromed.

67GTX26.jpg

Work on the Hemi continues.  I added the distributor and ran fuel lines.  I need to scratch-build a fuel line splitter.

67GTX27.jpg

I cut off the spindles and moved them up on the front suspension to lower the nose of the car.

67GTX29.jpg

I painted the shocks with Olds Engine Blue enamel and Stainless Steel metalizer paints.

I got the carbs plumbed and the distributor is installed and will route the plug wires shortly.

67GTX32.jpg

It was pointed out to me elsewhere that one of the tire treads was backwards.  I corrected that and finished the rear suspension.

I got the dash foiled and detailed this morning.

A mockup with the chassis, engine, and interior.

67GTX38.jpg

I still haven't finished the Hemi yet.  I'll get back to the Hemi when I have finished the interior which needs the seats foiled, the tach detailed and installed on the console, and the bucket seats installed into the interior.

Thanks Dan!

I finished the interior this morning.
67GTX40.jpg
I mounted the tach on top of the dash instead of on the console.
67GTX41.jpg
This was a simple little detail that I made by adding a line from the back of the tach and ran it through the speaker grille.
67GTX42.jpg
Now it's back to finishing the Hemi!

Save for some touchups and decals, the Hemi is done.

Looking very nice.  I really like that color with the chrome trim - very attractive.

That's a nice job, Mike. As pointed out earlier, it's actually a very nice combination of old and new-style Mopar.
