So it's going to be the Sebring version. Coming along Very Well Mark.  Hey, I don't know if you ever got to read the Motor Racing Models issue that did the 512M build but the builder had a problem with the BMF "blistering" on the Body after a couple of days.

Yeah, had to do the flames and long chord wing, it is just a better looking car to me.

I have seen BMF do that over raw resin, even after what seemed to be adequate prep work.  That is why I laid a thin coat of the blue down as a base for the BMF to really stick to.

I'm guessing the BMF blistering has something to do with out gassing........ Well once I get around to my 512M I'm headed to the Watkins Glen version. Heck it's a Coupe that ran in the CanAm. Although there were more than many think, it's one of those that folks would ID.

Thanks guys!  It is 1/24th scale, so it'll be about 7 inches long with the wing.

As far as the resin outgassing, this one was cast in the '90s, it should be done by now.  And if you have a newer one, the added adhesion of a coat of paint before applying the foil will help a lot too.

Back to working on the interior…  Here is the finished dash assembly.

And installed as well as the added brace.

This is the finished chassis.  Only what needs to be done for what can be seen from outside the body.

Looks very nice.  I always liked these cars...or ones of this era  like the Chaparral's GT40's  MkII

I'm with you Dave, that was a great era for these race cars...

Been away from the bench for a while, but I got some time behind it yesterday and was able to put the clear on the body…

Thanks Guys!

Onto the final assembly...  I installed the windows first.  Not a fan of windows that mount from the outside, but it is the way the car is.  At least the scribed lines on the vac-u-formed windows are crisp and match the openings in the resin body.
