I hope it's improved!

I went to a whole new system for the auction site for eModelCars.

It's an easier format for me, and hopefully it's something that will work for everyone else as well.

I'm still working out the bugs, so bear with me.

If someone has a few items they want to post, please start slow.

Let me know if any problems while setting everything up.

I really like this one, it's simple, and hopefully will work well.

http://www.emodelcars.com

You can even sign up now through or using your Facebook account.

I think I can add the Twitter option also.

This will help draw people to your auction through the social media sites.

Again, let me know through email admin@emodelcars.com

Thanks.

I will check it out. I have no problem with Paypal as a user, so I am not sure what issues others have had. I like the fact that on my purchases I am often protected.

As for the auction sites itself, it will have to be a buildup. For people to go look, more people will have to sell, but the sellers are going to want more traffic before they spend a lot of time there listing etc, the ol catch 22. I applaud Gregg for giving it a chance at all. I am sure it is more cost/hassle to him than it is worth. Who knows, given time, it could work well.

!

Something bad happened

Authentification failed. The user has canceled the authentication or the provider refused the connection.

This came up when I hit the "Connect with: Facebook" button.

Registered normally and it worked. Will give it a try.

Okay , Had a discussion with mod  about my post in Trade section. So let's see if this will pass muster.

I have models for sale, AT E-MODELCARS only, see the selection in my PIC at the trade section.

Hope this is okay.

You have to add the pics of the kits you want to sell to your emodelcars.com listing, Mike. It's completely separate from the forum.

I thought members could use the Pic that's already there in the trade section and then just make the purchase at the e-modelcars site.

I'll try and put up the pic when I'm feeling better.

I don't know. I wanted to use it as an addition to my trading as some members wanted to buy and there is no selling. I think one of the problems is a way is needed to promote that you HAVE something posted there. Also, I wonder what the reason is for the  No Selling rule. I'm not mad about this ,but it makes one wonder is it just the hassle of dealing with someone that pays and doesn't receive the item, or something else, I.E.  I.R.S regs  ,Liability I could go on, but I'm a little I'll today and had blurry vision most of the day.

I always thought it had something to do with not competing against the advertisers in the mag. But, I am likely wrong on that.

I think there are no fees as a seller, that was one of the benefits to listing there.

I've listed on there several times  at really reasonable prices ( about half of what I've seen the same kit sell for on Ebay )

and never sold one single kit

Unless your practically giving it away it doesn't sell .

I will check it out.I have kits in the trade section but will be pulling them out.The high cost of shipping is not worth the trades.

I have models I normally sell for $12 + or - and it cost almost $10 to ship it. I can buy my kits at the yearly swap meet for $10 to $15. Or trade locally straight across with no shipping
