'64 Galaxie lightweight......a 30 year old build

This factory lightweight 427 Ford Galaxie was modified from an AMT Galaxie 500 kit around 30 years ago.....and kept dust-free in a display case.

Although I'm kind of a Chevy guy, I always thought these '64 Ford lightweights looked really tough, and in '64, I didn't have a lot to cheer about in the Chevy camp.

This model was done from some basic magazine pics and a bit of guesswork, since the days of easy internet research were decades away.

That looks fresh and is completely killer.

 

 

We should have a section for pre internet builds. Just sos's the kids can know how we did it b'fo the intranets thingy.

WOW! That is nice, it's really cool to see these old builds in here, and you did excellent job way back then. The subject couldn't be much better, and when the model is built this cleanly, I really like it. Very nice one.

nice build. I am a chevy guy to but I have always liked these cars and the thunder bolts.

Love it looks great. I got one started using the 60 as a doner and a converted t-bolt hood.
