I "love" those people who cant use the turn-signal,they put it on when they take the turn. This so i have to wait for ages again for a new gap to get out of the street. How hard can it really be? I flipped my finger and honked but she did not even look my way

I have to put my daughter on a plane back to "the Lou" this afternoon.

Her mother, ex #2, is still a demanding witch. 10 years divorced now and she makes every attempt to control my life through the children.

She wouldn't be a real "ex wife" if she didn't do that...  ^_^

Customers (I'm a plumber). Too many think that because they NEED a plumber, I should work for less than peanuts. One guy cried about the prices, then complained about me. After it was all said and done, we realized he had misrepresented the problem all along and just wanted to blame us for the junk plumbing in his fallin' apart, 50 year old POS house, and of course get it fixed for free, since "we caused it".

Another guy, who wanted a call before doing any work on his rental property, complained about the price and service charge, but agreed to pay. After the work was done, he started crying again. Dispatch said just waive the service charge and move on.

I got another complaint from a woman who was furious that I wouldn't repair her 13 year old water heater.

I've read Yelp reviews for several local plumbing companies. Many of the complaints are "he charged X dollars for the repair. When he was done, I saw that the part is only 32 dollars on Amazon". Well, why didn't you buy it and install it? Oh, you didn't know how to diagnose the problem? Didn't know what part to buy? Didn't have the tools to do the job? Don't make a living doing this? Don't pay for a work van, insurance, 40 bucks a day in gas, rent on a commercial building, office personnel who get a paycheck but don't bring money in? (I could go on). Yes, we get paid to do this and yes, we have overhead. Don't like it? Have bubba joe from down the street replace your water heater. When the gas company red tags it and shuts off your gas because it has every code violation known to man, don't cry to me about the price to make it right. My best friend likes to remind of the days when I first got into plumbing and believed most customers were good people, and I cared about them. Not any more. Here's the price. Don't like it? Adios.

Yeah, I'm also the guy who reports handyman water heater installations to the city, so they can slap that clown with a minimum $2000 fine. It goes up from there. The state can then slap him with the same fines again. That's right. A guy practicing plumbing without a license in Texas can get fined twice for the same offense and it's all legal. Boo hoo hoo. I don't undercut barbers by cutting hair without a license.

I'll take his last can of handyman hash.

Lee, your story sounds a whole lot like those of a friend's who used to work for a GM dealership........minus the whole car vs plumbing thing.

People who don't clean up after themselves. Went to my favorite outdoor shooting area and found the spot I like to shoot littered with all kinds of junk. Cans every where plus all the junk they brought from their garage to shoot at from tv's to old computers and such. The worst being glass bottles !  People, don't use glass items as targets !! Idiots ! I for one always bring a trash bag and try and leave an area cleaner than when I found it.

I agree with you...people just do not care anymore...I spent my Christmas cleaning up after the mess the burglars left here and the damage.

Ther's a couple places I like to run my scale and crawler R/C trucks that is like that. It's not other crawlers though, it's usually fishermen or picnicers that leave junk laying around. Stupidest part is that one spot has garbage cans literally right along the path to it and the other not only had cans near by, but is also just a feet from the parking lot so it would be easy to just carry the garbage (in a bag of course) back to your car and throw out at home.

Back in NJ we used to belong to a town pool club where people would just leave their mess... cans, sandwich wrappers etc. all over the lawn and picnic areas.  One day after watching a pretty obnoxious family next to us eat sub sandwiches and pizza that they brought from outside, the father just dumped his blanket on the ground as they prepared to leave.  I'd had enough so I confronted him. His response? The pool club pays people to clean it up!   And he was really incensed that I challenged him at that. I left it alone past that because he looked like he was going to hit me. Friggin slobs.

The one that doesn't just irk me so much as flat out pisses me off if the fishing line some of the fishers leave laying about. Most of the time it it just gets wrapped around the axles shafts and or steering joints. If you're ever around here and see a pissed off fat hairy guy with glasses bent over a 1/10 scale R/C truck (usually a snot green metallic and flat black Jeep Cherokee) mumbling some not so nice things about fishermen while cutting the line from one if not both axles with an X-Acto knife or box cutter...............it'll be me.

Home alone tonight doing a little modeling and come into a need for a roll of masking tape. A simple roll of masking tape, and I live less than 4 miles from a large mart store.

And my stupid Hyundai has made me a pedestrian, AGAIN!

I had a rather enraging bit of cooling system drama to the tune of 450 bucks!Seems that Ford decided to make the tubing that connects the intake manifold to the water pump out of plain rather than stainless on my 2001 Ford Windstar. Both tubes rotted out causing all kinds of steam to belch from under the hood.man the labor charges were high because you had to take apart the entire intake plenum to get to them.Had to fix it because until tax season arrives I am not in a position to buy another vehicle.A fine Christmas present indeed!

Getting up at 1am Sunday morning and driving 30 miles to work only to find out my shift has been cancelled, and after drinking a 20 oz coffee on the way to work there was no way I was able to go back to sleep when I got home

I just was informed that a bottle of Viva La Juicy perfume I bought as one of the gifts I gave my daughter for Christmas is a fake. I bought it off ebay from a seller who has perfect feedback so I am a bit surprised. Contacted them and opened a case with ebay but because I purchased it over 30 days ago ( i do my shopping early ) it is not covered under their protection plan. : (  I guess I will be off to Macys this weekend to drop 90 bucks for the 3.5 oz bottle. I guess maybe the 50 dollar price I paid should have been a warning. I really thought with the 100% feedback I was safe. Maybe they will refund me. Maybe pigs will learn to fly.  Buyer beware.

I drove to Indy and back earlier today, and when I started the car my talk radio station was doing the pre game stuff for the football game. So I went to my AM  talk station to find a basketball game on. Back to FM and the classic rock station. After a couple of songs they went to the football game. So to the oldies station where I found another basketball game on. I hit the seek button and on came rap.

I turned the radio off. I guess it;s time to buy XM or something.

That's why I love the Sirius in my 200, been to Elkhart Lake, WI. and Branson, MO. twice each in it and the only time I lose signal is when I go under some sort of structural covering (usually bank and gas station awnings) and the stations are consistant from state to state!

Oh, speaking of gas stations..........

I'll occasionally dump anywhere from 1-3 gallons of E85 into the Jeep when I top it off to see how it responds to it (hasn't caused a problem so far, even when I accidentally put 5 gallons in...........) with more success than I had expected and it looks like I could safely run E25 in it. Only tricky part is there are no blender pumps here that dispence the different blends besides the three types of E10 and E85 or Diesel around here. Well, in two of the stations here that sell E85, you have to pay ahead with cash or pay with credit and the other you can pay cash or check (yes check!) after you fill up if you pull up to the right pump. Well, at that one you can put in what ever amount of either fuel into the vehicle's tank, go in and pay, then leave. I did not go there today, I went to one of the others and tried to do the splash blending thing with cash instead of with a credit or debit card like I did a couple times at the third place.........ended up being a total pain for both them and me.....

Next time, I'll just go to the one I can write a check at, a whole lof easier!
