Anyone remember what commercial (For sale Plymouth Duster 50 Bucks)was in?

This is what I built for the 2013 Cannonball Run CBP .I built it to look like an old rusty Duster that would be lucky to keep up on the Interstates .With a Viper chassis and a V10 hidden under the body ,it should  :D

Now that is fantastic. My Mom's forst new car was a 1971 Duster, (F7) Sherwood Green, with a 225, automatic, and not much else.

It was something like this one. I am going to so a model of her car, one of these days. Your build may be the one that will take me over the edge.

Love it!

I remember the commercial- I think it was for batteries. It had sounds of expensive cars cranking over but not starting, then an announcer described all the battery's features, then along came the $50 Duster, which fired right up.

Now that's pretty cool Pat !  Beautiful (?) job of weathering .  I like the little details like the quarter windows .

I had one just like that ( with no engine ) sitting in my driveway one summer ,  but I paid $75 for it !  :D

Pat, I really like your Duster.  You did a great job on weathering and that Viper chassis under it brings a smile when I see it there.  It seems to belong there.  It's nothing you did but, I am surprised the Viper underpinnings didn't bring the car down to the ground further.  Good thing they didn't or that would have ruined the look you were going for.

Great details...weathering, concept, AND the open rear wing window. Fond memories of the one my family had, a dark green '71 Gold Duster with the Slant 6.
