Wonderful build. I've been TRYING to get a Revell FIA slot body recently, but they've all gone for stupid money on evilbay. I did score a pair of Lindberg 1/24th Daytona Coupe kits though. Just found the proper wheels for it today completely by accident.....

Tks Guys,

Jim, perserve with getting one on e-bay.  I did.  I paid around USD50 for it as a complete slot car, good condition, no windscreen though.  I did notice a resin body, cast from a Revell I think, up there the other week & it went for around USD115, ridiculous

There has been one seller, over the past month has had at least four original body kits in boxes. I think he found a stash somewhere and is putting his kid through college with the proceeds! I have one that was used on a slot car and it's pretty badly heat distorted.

I love the idea of suitcase bumps! That's new to me, did Dan carry his spare race suit and DJ (for the prizegiving ceremony) around the Targa Florio race course with him, hence the need to massage the boot lid for his luggage to fit?

Lovely build of one of my favourite Cobras!

I coulda sworn I posted on your great TF Cobra. I wish Revell would re-issue their slot car body!! Their 1/24 Cobra and GTO are pretty good. The Cobra more so as the GTO is a bit shallow in the height. I did a static GTO, a very long time ago, and next to the Testors car that I also built one can see the shallowness. Clearly the slot car bodies of the 60s and 70s are not too bad., but not perfect. The Cobra is the closest.
