a few updates
this been sitting on the back burner waiting for parts & finishing up some other projects.
was going to use these swamps. ditched all the redneck stuff, filled in the sunroof. my resin grille was a little to wide, but it's in there. my resin hood was also to wide, would have looked weird sanding too much off to fit, so filling the hole on the stock hood instead. also got my resin stock bumpers fitted
decided to make the small block more 4by friendly. ditching the blower, intake, & heads.
whoever says models are fragile has'nt taken apart a 25 yr old model.
as seen by the damage, i'm right handed
so i tried the knife in the left hand...
after enough carnage, went outside, took the heads & intake off in 3 seconds with my 3/4 horse bench grinder...
not as glamorous as a 6-71, but it will get the job done. also spent a boring afternoon opening up the grille
thought the rear bumper looked too wide, sectioned it down to a better width
and the tires are actually satin, dont know why they look shiny, lighting i guess
happy days, this showed up in the mail today
i'm going to use these bigger swampers instead, with 8 lug steelies
other swamps i think i will throw on a '68 elco i have
underhood detail is pretty much non-existent, added a heater box, wiper motor, & a 4 core rad. that stupid master cyclinder molded to the inner fender(?) will be ground off & replaced with a better one
just to get an idea with the bigger swampers
thanks for looking
