That "woodless woody" would make a really neat build.  I know from anecdotes that the old wagons are prone to birds nests and also usually home to more than a few wasps and hornets.  It would take a lot of scratchbuilding, but this would be a cool idea for a diorama, either rotting in a field, or the start of a rebuild in somebody's driveway.  Thanks for the very informative picture.

I wanna do mine like this.... but just like the 70 cuda, it still eludes my grasp.

curious to see a "Ford" blue oval on the back, maybe "powered by" type of thing. could this be a ford instead of a merc? don't know too much once I get past the musclecar era. still like it!!

That's a Ford.  You can tell by the shape of the doors.

Being fooled twice and bought resin kits of the '49 Mercury (not from the Modelhaus), I have neither need nor motivation to buy the new Revell Mercury kit. However, I thought it may be a donor for a transplantataion or breeding with an AMT '49 Ford. Did both cars share the same rear body?

I run kind of hot and cold on woodies. The top one? Man, I like it a lot. I love that it has one wood used, and gives the appearance of a cool two-tone as well as being a woody. The bottom one is just too much, for me.

The wagon at Schmitt's is exquisite. I might change the color to green or blue, but that's basically the direction I plan on taking mine in.

Dave- some very interesting cars. I liked the cadet blue car with the blackwalls. There was something that seems very...authentic, for want of a better word (and not one so horrendously overused) about that car that I liked a lot.
