I've been looking for this model for quite some time, then i realise that it's not available, unless it a resin kit that will cost me a bomb, so i decided to scratch build and use Toyota Levin Te27 from fujimi as it base. I start this project from Nov last year,This is the progress so far.

nice work

didn't airfix make a 1/32th scale MKI escort?

i also had an Esci 1/24th MKII escort RS with a clear body, i never built it as i found out its value, sold it and bought a shedload more kits with the money

Welcome. :)

And.....WOW!

That has to be the best transformation I've seen in a very long time. Two thumbs up my friend, GREAT work going on there. B)

If you had posted saying you made it from a Toyota (without pics) I would have called you on it. Simply incredible the work just to get the correct shape. Bravo! :)

This is a great conversion!  I would've had a hard time believing it started as a Toyota either without the pics.  Someone really needs to make this as a kit.

Are you doing the gold wheels and rally lights like Brian's Escort in Fast and Furious 6?   If so, it could sure go with the F&F community build.

Thanks,

F&F 6 was what inspired me and the death of Paul Walker made me started this build. And yeah, i agreed they should have made this kit in 1/24.

Can i ask? where is this F&F community builds?

When you first log into the forum...scroll down the page...way down the page.  Under the blue bar with the heading "The Community", you will see the topics of Model Cub News & Announcements, Contests & Shows, Real or Model?/Auto ID Quiz, Model Parts Trivia!, then Community Builds.  Click Community Builds and it's in there.
