With 5 "projects" going on at the same time and getting a little frustrated with each one at some point , I decided to take a different route....a simple one tone paint scheme, nothing fancy.  Sometime back I had seen a photo of Al and Richard lined up together on pit road of Daytona for a photo op and wanted to do Al's ride, but like everything else something always takes over it gets pushed back.  A Revell 68 Charger graces the Testors' Bright Red paint with decals from Southern Motorsport Hobbies (? on the maker).  Inner fender wells removed and an front hoop fabricated, driver seat from the kit has an side bolster with the head rest made from an drinking straw capped at the ends, the frt/rear bumper guards removed and rechromed with SpazStix Ultimate Mirror Chrome #10009 spray and PPP rims.

Unser qualified 8th at the 68 Daytona and finished 4th being the last car on the lead lap while Cale took the Checked followed by Lee Roy Yarborough and Bobby Allison

That's nice.  Not many remember that Big Al could drive taxi cabs too!

Good job. Great idea. 226.jpg there's so much more out there that's not a pointy nose / winged tail. isaac-1969.jpg
