Would this be akin to a marriage license in that it would expire in 90 days? :P Or how about a graduated system where you gain more building privileges as you gain experience?Start off with snap kits, move up from there with demonstrated proficiency acknowledged by a board of master modelers. Can you just imagine Juha Airio or Steve Perry having to deal with a snap kit without making it into something else?

SAE? Bad pun…  ;)

Yeah, kinda...It was a spin off the Society of Automotive Engineers, but I did realize the reference to the other mag... I woulda thrown in a LIARS reference if I could have figured something out :).  Would this license have a haz-mat endorsement for all those chemicals?

3. A protective cover should always be placed on...

    b ) paints

    c) Super Glue

    d) all of the above.

4. Bright work should be applied with...

    a) a brush and chrome silver paint

    b ) Bare Metal Foil

    c) nothing at all, you like the monochromatic look

5. Tires should always be placed...

    a) on the wheels

b ) in a baggie to protect decals and polystyrene parts

    c) in another box and misplaced.

6. Chrome can be stripped by.

    a) Sanding off the bright stuff.

b ) Dunking piece in a tub of Super Clean

    c) Wishing it away.

7. Interiors can be carpeted with...

    a) Embossing powder

    b ) Cat hair

    c) Leftover carpet material from a house builder.

8. Engines can be detailed with...

    a) Paint washes

b ) awg 30 gauge wire for plug wires

    c) photo etch parts

    d) all of the above

9. Clear tail lamp lenses can be...

    a) tinted with transparent red.

b ) left as they are for that uber cool Altezza look

    c) backed with red colored shiny Christmas wrap.

    d) all of the above

10. Decal sheets should be...

      a) placed in small envelope to protect decal.

      b ) ignored

      c) be feared

      d) carefully studied as to their placement on the model.

I dunno.  I've been checking my marriage license for thirty-three years and it hasn't expired yet.   Where'd you get one for 90 days?

When I was youthful and hadn't yet met the Lovely and Gracious Mrs. B, I conned quite a few blondes into those Weekend Marriage Licenses.

what...!!???? No one has mentioned the International Model Police Agency?

I guess everyone has been skating under the radar and not received any citations for unsafe or drunk model building.

I've been building models for 55 years without a license and I haven't been caught yet!  Oh, I know I'm going to a very bad place when they do catch up with me...

Is there going to be a test before I get my licence, if I fail the test do I have to give up modelling, I don't do well with tests, who will sign my licence.

Just what we don't need a new government bureaucracy this time to control what I do in my spare time.   LOL
