Thank you Carl, Jeff & Tom

I did find out too late that AMT positioned the tractor and maxi brake knobs wrong.

Oh well noted for the next build !

Funny you should mention that Sean! the Road Boss has no provisions for brake knobs,i am fashioning some from square stock (tractor) hex stock (trailer) and round,as I believe a truck of it's vintage would also be equipped with a tractor protection brake. As all have mentioned, very nice work on your dash! I am experimenting with some woodgraining techiques for some future projects, just lack the time to spend any serious time at my bench!......................Mark

After all that time you havent missed a beat. Thats coming out to be a good looking Pete. I didnt mean that to rhyme. I knew it was going to look good from the detail of the tires when you first started on it.

Thanks Terry :)

Beings this is my first Pete I have ever built , my instruction sheet is nothing but notes on what Not to do and how to do my next one.

I painted the fuel tanks with Alclad, BMF for the straps and cap, stripped the chrome steps   and painted them body color.

Getting down to the last of the parts.

Thanks for looking in.

Sean,

Truck is coming along real nice.  Good looking truck, I like the color too.  Are you going to put the stripe on it like your reference pic?  Looks fine without it as well.  Question: did you make the front axle turn?

Jeff

Jeff - yes the front wheels are poseable.

Thank you everyone who followed the progress of this truck.

I finished it up as much as I was going to do as it will be packed away for a move to Montana in July.

Fine looking Pete! Sean, what did you do to the tires to "dull them down"? I was thinking of running a Scotchbrite pad over the next set I do,so they're not so shiny.................................Mark
