Beautiful model! This car is one of my favorite race cars of all time. Every time I go through Darlington, I stop at the museum to look at the one there.

Looks great and one of my favorite Petty cars. I saw your build process in another forum..the body rework and added race detail makes this a superb model...to the point that it has inspired me to restart and finaly finish my own that have been in storage for years!!!

Tamiya paint. Tires and wheels  are Plastic Performance Products

They are scratchbuilt from styrene sheet and rod and the pins are made from 32 guage wire.

I just found this one while going through the forum.  That's one very nice, very clean build, with just enough added detail.  I'd be proud to have that on my shelf.  Looks like I'll have to get another S&M kit and take it from there.  Did you incorporate any parts from the other Petty kits that are out there?
