Thats right, i drove an 88 379 pete with a mechanical 3406 with 700 horse, got over 8 mpg, i now drive a '13 386 pete, cummin isx and 500 horse, gettin 4.5, doin the same loads, on the same roads, dont lie to me that these new motors are more fuel efficent, cleaner burning, ok, not fuel efficent. Very aggravating, the maintance and extra cost of the DEF and DPF servicing, makin hard to enjoy driving, constantly forkin out money. Down time, all this is doing is costing the driver, owner , and company money with no change in rates. Ok enough venting for me

Or spark plugs on a diesel!!! I mean really, i thought they were crazy, my trucks gone through 4 in a year and a half

I'm sure happy this is a company truck. Grossing 76000 I can only get 3mpg
