I decided to work on the bed opening profile one more time ,  don't know why I can't get it right !

Here's the shape it's supposed to be .

So I added some plastic and tried again !

That might be pretty close .  I need to clean it up a bit and make sure it's the way I want it before adding the bed molding !

I also worked on the hood with a file and some sandpaper to get it even .  Before I started I added small gussets ( circled ) in the body so the hood will close the same every time .  Once it fits flush I need to work on the gaps .

Very nice work, Bob.

Charlie Larkin

Thanks Charlie !

I managed to get a couple of hours in last week and I got the trim on the body .  This is my first attempt at this kind of stuff and it's not perfect ,  like the top corners at the A - pillars should be rounded instead of square .  I purposely glue the trim on top of primer so I could redo my mistakes ,  I figured that if it was glued to bare plastic it would be near impossible to remove .   And several pieces were redone more than once . . .  this IS as hard as I thought it would be !

I'm also working on the rear window panel and the bumpers ,  but no photos yet .

Thanks for stopping by !

Beautiful work, I can't find a single contour out of place. The nicest '70s Elco conversion I've yet seen.
