Got the e-mail last week from Modelhaus that my parts were shipped out. They should be here any day so I thought I'd start work on the body of this bad boy. Wish I had taken some shots before I ripped it apart and stripped it

Anyway, I really wanted a '61,,,this one happenes to be a '63. SO,,I ordered the '61 peices anyway, including the dash. The body's identicle in the two kits except for the trunk lid.,,,,so I filed it down to match the '61 I borrowed for refrence :D

Gee,,,guess I just ruined a '63

I think I said before that I intend to paint this one a very dark candy eggplant purple,, can't wait to start shooting some colour

Love the old Lincolns; I look forward to seeing the progress. I've built/restored a few, have plenty more in the pipeline eventually.

I love all old full size cars but the Lincolns were just cool. I have a '64 and a '67 built-up and an unbuilt but badly twisted '68 to do after this one. I think the '67 or '68 will be a full on 2dr chopped top custom but I haven't decided which one yet.,,,probably be the '68 as it might be easier to straiten it with the roof off and replace the bent roof panel.

Suicide door Lincolns have always been favorites of mine. My to-do list of Lincolns includes:

'67 CV, '69 Coupe...I have mint kits and restorables of both. I'll cut up the restorables and perhaps sell the mint kits later if the restorations scratch the itch :D

'61 CV resin; will be mild custom. It may end up looking a lot like a CV version of your car, which I am very anxious to see tranformed 8)

That would be cool, though I'm covered on '61's myself. I've restored a really nice builtup I got at NAMCC and have the resin CV that was done privately by a friend in the early 90's.

I've also built an original '65 sedan, so I'm covered on that too. I need to photo my '64, '65's and '68 and show 'em off. They've only been built for 20+ years  Some of my first vintage kit purchases when I lived in CA. '68 came from Jackie/Mustanggal in person. I remember buying models from her at a show in Glendale.

Maybe Bob would be interested in the '67 CV or '69 Coupe bodies/conversions/whatever if/when I do them and if they come out okay. Haven't talked to Bob, but I did talk w/Kevin @ the NNL East and he did sound very interested in good masters. I am very impressed w/their products. Would love to see Bob pop in over here to say hello :D And I'm sorry I missed meeting you @ the NNL East; I sure liked your cars 8)
