  1. anyone in the Jacksonville area know a guy named Dave Shepherd? he's a friend of mine from Indy that moved to FL several years ago. when he was here he had a TON of unbuild models, mostly NASCAR and Indy Cars. haven't talked to him for a while. last I heard he and a friend were working on a 1:1 scale original Ramcharger drag car. a man of many talents.....
  2. do you care to update your location? did you move to San Francisco...Home of the 2012 World Series Champions? LOL
  3. great job! but just what is a FORD guy doing with an old Olds? was that your fathers Oldsmobile????
  4. very nice....I too prefer the 1/25th JoHans over the Monograms. actually I have a three JoHan Superbirds. two of them are WIPs and the other was one that I built for the Service Manager I worked with back in the early 80's. he had a 440+6 4sp Hemi Orange 'bird that was pretty wicked. made the model for him but he left the dealership before I got it done. after 30 years, its in rough shape, but hope to restore it someday. one of the WIPs is a white one that was started to be a model of the Superbird I passed up in 1974. had a chance to buy it but decided as a 19 year old kid, couldn't afford the gas, let alone the insurance. the other WIP is a model of Dan Gurney's #42 Superbird he drove at Riverside. also a WIP is a green Daytona. one of these days........
  5. you might try R&R.....they have listed a 62 Bonne hardtop, which could be easily converted. $53.00 not cheap but a lot less than the actual kit. here's the link: http://resinrealm.net/Star/RRGalleries/RR_All.html
  6. great job! the Monster car is a pretty cool car and the work you had to do to make a Camry out of an Impala is coming along very well. can't wait to see the finished product. what's next on your agenda?
  7. is that the going price from Mopar Performance OR are those aftermarket? I didn't think they were that expensive from Mother Mopar.
  8. looks much like a car that was on the cover of a magazine in 99 or 2000, depicting Mopars re-entry into NASCAR. pretty cool model!
  9. I'm currently working on one of Car Kiekhaefer's Chrysler 300C "Road America" cars. the story is that he purchased 4 new 300C's to compete in NASCARs road race at Road America in July of 57. before he got the cars completely modified to 'race trim', the Road America race was cancelled. he put the cars back to street status, with him taking one of them to drive as his personal car and one of his staff taking one of the others. should be an interesting build. I'm getting info from the shop in Kansas that is restoring one of these "Road America" cars, the special order Gray one, for the owner. pretty cool stuff they did to them for racing that will be incorporated into my model.
  10. that is correct "gtx" I'm old and had way too many old Mopars to get it exactly right. the "74-75" caps you mentioned, with the holes, were originally produced for Police versions.
  11. new guy here......and I read all 8 pgs of this thread and have been fascinated with your work. too bad about the accident. looks like the job of a tornado. hope everyone survived! LOL I'm in the process of starting a garage of my own. you gave me a lot of ideas for mine. thanks and I hope you get your garage repaired and "open for business" soon! Kevin
  12. .....and these are the Plymouth versions from 67-69. from 70-75, both the Dodge and Plymouth hub caps were the same, like the Dodge ones that were shown earlier but with no emblems.
  13. this is an AWESOME build and a great idea. got MY attention!
