Aoshima K.I.T.T. (Knight Rider)

01 September 2014 - 04:17 AM

Hi fellows!

Here's my new project, the Aoshima curbside K.I.T.T.in 1/24th scale with working front scanner!

I bought this kit in a hobby shop near NNL East last april, i decided to follow my heart and build a kit that remebres my teen years.

I painted the body with a custom mix basecoat from PPG and it's been cleared with Testor's wet-look lacquer, i'm waqiting two or three weeks before polishing for the clear to be throughly dry..

In the meantime i began the interior, wich by the way, is very well detailed with decals for the dashboard instruments!

Here's the first pics..

I'll be back soon with further developpements...

1969 COPO Camaro

13 July 2014 - 04:46 AM

At last here it is!!

My third completion of 2014, my 1969 Hugger orange COPO Camaro

Kit from Revell, with PPG basecoat Hugger orange topped with Testor's wet look clear lacquer.

Again, i enjoyed this build very much, and i'm pretty satisfied with the finished product..

The tire lettering is from Fireball Modelworks, and is a must have with alll these kits with generic tires!!

So, here it is!!

An the last one along with my ZL-1 Yenko phanto i built a few years ago!!

Hope you like it!!

1969 COPO Camaro

02 April 2014 - 03:08 PM

Here's a new one for 2014... in fact my third this year!!

It's the Revell COPO Camaro kit, here it is on primer.

I made a mock up of the chassis and suspension to give me an idea, and i think it's going great!!

The COPO i'm replicating (production no. 67.)does not have wheel lip molding so i've had to remove them!

It's a hugger orange COPO with an air spoiler and special front bumper option(body color)

I tried some Shabo tire lettering and pretty convinced, i'll made all three others the same way!!

It's a shame that Shabo is no longer in buisness....

Now the bodywork is done, it's been sent to the paint shop for an Hugger Orange coat of paint..

More to come with a glossy shine and a great 427 (not ZL-1) to be different a bit!!
