God bless you. To lose everything is terrible, It is surely a treat to find something like that after a tragedy. Specially in such good shape!

You can always re-appropriate parts from other kits. Sway bars make good fabrication parts.
Honestly though, brass rod is your best bet. Wire clothes hangers are usually a good source, but tend to be a bit thick for control arms/4 links.
I find some of the most useful stuff when I'm not looking for specific things. Go rummage through a thrift store.

I recall a writeup in Blueprinter Magazine way back when...may have been SAE, I can't remember, it's been 25 years ago, anyway, they had a writeup on doing a pirate map paint job on a snap tite chevy that was really trick. They were highlighting the use of a quill pen to do the pinstriping. The end result was a GEORGEOUS pirate map themed truck. I'll try and find it tonight when I get home.
