Forge World Warhammer 40K Dreadnought

22 January 2012 - 09:35 AM

This is a commissioned piece that I painted for a local gaming gent. He wanted a centerpiece for his army. The level of detail in these little guys is absolutely astounding. As the dime in the picture indicates, they are quite small. No finished pics as the customer was going to assemble it himself and install magnets for swapping out parts. The base is meant to have a lava effect to it. Over 60 hours of brush painting excluding the base which was mostly airbrushed.

60 Bel Air

05 December 2011 - 06:36 PM

This one was a project for a friend of mine.  It's a gift for his father-in-law this Christmas.  I was shown four pictures of a graffiti and toilet paper covered car post-wedding, and told it had gray interior.  Through many hours of research and some help from the 60impala.com site, I was able to produce an approximation of the interior and convert it to the Bel Air trim from the Impala.  I also re-worked the tail light section.

Xbox 360 controller

15 October 2011 - 08:45 AM

One of my side-gigs is doing custom airbrush painting on Xbox controllers for people.  This one was for a customer in Billings, MT that wanted a Ken Block themed controller to be similar to his Ford Festiva car.  I started with the running paint scheme, then the #43 skull, Monster energy drink logo, and free-hand drew the shoe splatter to replicate the splatter on the front & side of the car.  I also painted a grille pattern on the reset panel of the controller to give it a bit more feel for the car.  I capped it off by putting the customer's gamer handle "Ace" in orange paint splatter letters as well.

1960 Chevy Bel Air

14 October 2011 - 02:11 AM

I've searched the WWW etc.   But I've been unable to find some details on a '60 Bel Air.  A friend wants me to replicate his father-in-law's car for Christmas but the only pictures are from the 60's without interior detail.  Any help on what the door panels would've looked like, interior seat color, dash, etc. would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance for any help.

Gundam Mobile Ship Albion

08 October 2011 - 12:52 PM

This is my most recently completed model subject. This one was a commissioned piece for a local guy. He was very happy when he picked it up. The most difficult part of this build was the lack of reference material. The box had a few pictures, and fortunately I was able to find a couple screen shots of the animated Japanese cartoon that it's featured in for the rest.
