I need advice on what to do with these vintage kits.

11 August 2014 - 05:10 PM

I have these three kits and what I need to know is, what company produces these same kits ,but better in terms of fit, finish, and overall quality? If the original molds are still being used for any of them I will build them, but if I could do better with something else I'd love to know. Thanks!!

I need a (Nice) new 71 Hemi cuda kit. Recommendation?

Alright, so I had this Monogram 71 Cuda kit in my stash and was super excited to start on it.

I opened the box and see that it's nearly empty,I then look at the box art and see that it's a skill level 2. For me that's not enough but I decided to start it anyway. As I started airbrushing parts the part count kept bothering me, IMO allot of things that should be included are missing from the kit which I assume is because of the skill level. Anyway the kit is (okay) but I need something more with allot more detail and parts and the correct tires. Can you guys recommend another 71 kit over this one? I want the best that's out. I have searched allot but so many different kits are made of this car that I don't know which to trust.

Thanks guys!!

This was a pretty nice kit with great fit and finish, downside.....very small parts and I found myself using tweezer's on some of the steps. It's been awhile since I've used this much BMF and I forgot how fun it is to use the stuff.
