Mad Max Interceptor Build

I am looking to build an Interceptor model kit, but don't want to pay the big $$ to buy the kit. So, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what model(s) that I could use to kit bash and fabricate the model? I was comparing an ealry 70's Tonrino to the 73 Falcon bosy, but the style lines along the side are different.
