70 Pontiac Trans Am "Pro touring"

22 August 2014 - 12:28 PM

Hello. Have been working on this some week now,i did not make a WIP on it,i have this irrational fear

Photobucket will black out my pics if i upload to much lol. Revell 1:24,it does have some fit issues but

i did my best, most problematic was the front end lower part and rear spoiler. At first i wanted to make

a Brewster Green original car,but i found a good 1:25 MPC resto object i will attempt to do stock. So

this one got the engine, trans, brakes, suspension and wheels upgrade to be more street machine or

pro touring. The body is completely stock,i like it this way, most muscle cars this era looks great only

getting a little closer to the ground and some wheels, stock is sweet to. Enough bla bla. here are some

pictures. Hope you like it and feedback is welcome, good or bad.

1949 Mercury

12 August 2014 - 01:02 PM

Inspired by all the cool older custom cars on this forum i thought i should do an humble attempt myself.

The kit is AMT 1949 Mercury. Very nice car both stock and custom, even if i favour the 51 as for looks.

Anyway,i do think flames are pretty cool, even if they are being used so much it`s become an cliche, but

who cares, taste is as we all know subjective. My level of skill dont allow me to chop the top or such things,

so i guess it will be more or less stock as for body. It will be lowered and hopefully i will find some tires

with wide whitewalls,i think it looks good on these cars. Plans so far is Cadillac drivetrain and wheels.

Also i will be using Cadillac steeringwheel and maby other small stuff, not 100% sure. I tend to do

changes as it progress, and after suggestions from you skilled people.

This is what i have so far. I have not put clear on but will add a coat or two.

Thanks for looking.

Does anyone make headers for the 340 small block?

1964 Plymouth Belvedere

11 August 2014 - 04:31 AM

Just finish the Lindberg Plymouth Belvedere. Nice kit imo,AMT and Revell should take notice on how to mold

plated parts like bumpers from Lindberg. It`s more or less box stock besides i used Magnum wheels and new

tires from the AMT tire pack and some heater hoses. The interior is gold with tan inserts in seats and doorpanels.

Sadly i dont have any decent picture, should have taken before assembly. You could build this with the slant 6,but

of course i had to go with the 426 Commando. I`m not sure the engine color match the real deal, but i tried to make

it look original. The 6cyl will be saved until a later on wagon project. Anyway,it`s done and here are some pictures.

What are my chances of finding this part (See picture). If anyone have a parts car, glue bomb etc

i would gladly pay shipping over here if i can get my hands on it. Have been searching hight and

low, ebay and so on,but no luck.

The rear panel and bumper are molded into one piece if i remember right.
