Killer kustom steve but why a caddie grill ? a nice 56/57vette grill would be a cool too. B)

 

those vette grille were really hard to find in the late 40's ! must be the reason :rolleyes:

 

Fantastic work Steve ! I've had the project to build one like that , Carl Abadjian inspired, for years !  :) This was an elegant area for kustoms ! you nailed it perfectly !! thanks a lot for returning to modeling...and kustoms ;)

Thanks for the kind of words everybody :D

I like SHINY :) :) :) !  But, please, tell me how you were able to get the thin line around the panels.  Amazing painting.


The trick is to paint the color of the outlining first, then you draw the panels with very thin masking tape ;)

Zed I took the inspiration from Charlie Lopez But changed up the gull wings and made them full doors. I wanted to put spokes on it also but that would of put me in the lowrider catagory and I think it was more custome. I have a few more crazy Mercs on the table that will be just as crazy.


You've changed more than that ! like i ve said, i see a tribute, not a clone ;)
