Nope, you are correct, these cars did have their windshield wipers. But they where removed here and there, so either way would be correct

I removed the kit's molded-in wipers with the intention of replacing them with PE wipers, but most of the detail pics I saw online showed them removed. Since I hate fiddling with PE wipers I decided to take the path of least resistance!

I don't begrudge the buyer one cent of the purchase price. If I had real honest-to-God "f-you" money this is the first thing I'd buy.

That came out fantastic! How'd your taillights turn out?

Pretty well. The kit doesn't make 'em easy, and the design's pretty complicated to begin with. I just realized I forgot to include a pic of the rear end... here it is!

In Topic: Datsun 510 BRE update 8/15- it's finished!

15 August 2014 - 06:45 AM

So it's finished, and just in time for the show tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised by the kit decals, which were opaque and thin and of much better quality than the old Revell decals. Final assembly was completely drama-free, even though the overly-complicated front suspension is a little fiddly to get together. Photoetched bolt heads were used on the windshield and rear window braces and the hood and trunk pins were adapted from a set of Detail Master pins. More pics in Under Glass soon!
