Odd that their was no intrest (pre-orders) for this class 8 kit, back then, when the AMT 1/25th truck craze was getting more popular then ever in the 70's:'69,'70'71'72'...MPC followed in '71...ERTL in '73 the segement was a growing one for sure, even Monogram &...Testors got in late in the 70's early 80's.

Typical AMT's fast... "Ca$h In"!  kit for 1969!

When AMT was in need for fast cash, without breaking the bank!

(Got to admit that the super simplistic FC frame is... Funny indeed! :P)

...Great body & Engine :D

Absolutely fantastic!

Great news, heard about this, but tought this would be a rebox of the later modified: "uptated"  AMT 359 "1100"  in it's T501 "California Hauler" :Brown & white boxart, we all know since 1977.

Tought the 1969 first T500-500 & later 1970 sleeper version molds had been heavily modified later in the 70's to update it to a 1100 359.

Pretty sure the clear green glass of 1969 will be in, a great milstone/historical truck kit back after so many decades ...

Again GREAT job Round2!

Dodge had no choice to rapidly drop the DEMON name/logo; good'ol religious (right wingers) already at work ... "demonizing" Chrysler corp. Indeed General Mills took over MPC back in 1970, a bit too late to cancel the annual 1971 kit... as mention, family oriented GM surely pull the plug for the '72 edition Demon kit, a bit to heavy for kids & their mom/dads of the early 70's. The kit is coming back for sure... let's hope in complet original 1971 box, never know: the name & logo could affraid a few
