Well I am continuing building my Shawn Carpenter resin 1962 Grand Prix conversion on the AMT Catalina kit. I started this kit about two years ago and got frustrated with my paint job, walked away from it and decided about a month ago to go back to the kit. I have worked on the paint and now it looks pretty good. I am finished with the BMF. I have painted it with MCW's original 62 Pontiac Dark Maroon. I should have it wrapped up this next week.

1965 Pontiac 2+2 Resin convertible question
06 February 2013 - 07:35 AM
I have a correct wheelbase 1965 Pontiac 2+2 convertible body and I was wondering if the 1965 AMT Grand Prix kit has the correct shorter wheelbase as compared to the 1965 2+2 AMT kit. I know the AMT 2+2 is a Bonneville Thanks

This 300 is a great kit and for a change I built it with the standard covers using corvette checkered flag decals for the center of the caps. The picture doesn't really show the caps very well. I need to use something besides my phone to take pictures! The kit goes together very well. Thanks
1962 Grand Prix resin conversion

I painted this Shawn Carpenter resin 62 Grand Prix a few years ago but never finished it. I am working on it again and spending some time getting the paint sanded and polished out. I hope to finish it in the next few weeks.
Removing laquer from Resin question
21 January 2013 - 07:47 AM
I have a Shawn Carpenter 1962 Grand Prix I painted a few years ago with laquer and never finished it. I am going to start on it again and I want to remove the paint and try another color. What should I use to remove the laquer? I have read easy off oven cleaner will remove the paint and not hurt the resin. I have also read Pine-Sol works. Thanks
