Freddy, I use Citadel acrylic paints that "Gamers" use. They have various shades of metal, as well as standard colors. They can be hand brushed or thinned and air brushed. They dry quickly too. Look for them at a large figure or gaming hobby shop. I hope this helps. Ken

Look for some clear thread at the local fabric store. It is great for rigging 1/700 or larger diameter 1/350 scale ships. For any thing larger they even have elastic thread.
Superglue one end, stretch the thread, then attach the other with a drop of glue.
