2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic Replica for a friend.

24 March 2014 - 04:12 PM

Started with a Revell '08 SRT8 kit my Friend gave me to build his car, a AMT Promo donated it's wheels, Keith Mark's Stripes, turned out pretty good, he's happy, that's the important part!

Real car is a '10, 5.7 Hemi, 6 Spd manual, Aftermarket 3" Exhaust, K&N cold air intake, and a chip.................it goes like stink and rides every so softly...

I didn't bother modifying it to a Manual transmission..........

'66 Chevelle Wagon and Camper.

02 March 2014 - 05:45 PM

GM never Built it so I did, Used a resin body that I got in trade a while ago from our very own Z Man.....Decided it needed some purpose, so why would anyone want a 2 door big block wagon? To tow a camper of course, how else are you supposed to look cool when you rolled up to the NHRA sanctioned event of your choice?

Scratchbuilt the trailer, it works out closer to 24th scale, but oh well, mistakes happen.

Assembled the wagon as a lower trim model, but I included the 375HP 396, a 4spd Muncie, and of course some SS badging, if your going to build something that never existed you might as well trim it out as you would have it.

Built this combo for a Group build that a friend and myself have put on for now 2 years (this is our second year, last year's theme was '69 Camaro's), we have a group display at IPMS' Heritagecon in Hamilton at the Warplane Heritage museum.

Resto of a cheap built up I got in a collection I bought in October 2012, started working on this one December 2012, and here we are the End of February 2014 with it finished.

I wanted a factory show car kinda look, so some mild customization.

When was the last time you saw one of these?

A friend tried selling it for nearly 3 years at the hefty sum of $2, and ended up giving 'ol peanut to me.

I was looking for something yesterday and ended up finding him ,so the inevitable happened, Peanut was restored.

I tore him apart, washed everything, polished the body and glass out, then repainted and replaced any missing parts.
