About Me

My name is Wayne Farmer. I'am 63 yrs old and build(when I do) mostly 1/24-1/25 cars and light duty trucks.I had a stroke in 1998 and am pretty well normal except a small limp and frustration. I'am
a retired Winnipeg Fire Paramedic and now work part-time as a customer relations manager at Eastern Chrysler in
Winnipeg. Married to Kathy with three grown children and three grand kids. My oldest grand-daughter likes to build
snap kits by Revell with grandpa. I'am into 1:1 cars and shows. Have a 1964 Fury Convertible with a Big
block and a 1972 Valiant Scamp,6 cyl, unrestored survivor car with 43,000 miles. Drive and enjoy both cars during the
summer months.

Small world, this model car world is...

A few weeks ago a member here wanted some slant six engines. Didn't say where he was from but ended up living in the same city as I. Conversed by email and he phoned tonight. Coming over tomorrow night to BS models and get a slant six from me. Small world. I know he is a real modeler because he says he frequents this forum, This is where the talent is and it shows by the builds the guys/gals do.

Started a Sunbeam Tiger today

Haven't built much(almost nothing) since my stroke in 1998. Our club(Winnipeg Model Car Club) has a theme show in December. This year its foreign/import. So a friend gives me a Sunbeam Tiger that I gave to him years ago. Two weeks ago I glued the front and rear pans. Tonight I did a little de-flashing and dechroming/mold lines. This thing is molded in bright yellow see through (almost) plastic that AMT used years ago. I don't usually look at part numbers but with foreign stuff who know where or what things are. Can't even see the numbers so will have to prime everything light grey to see them. Haven't done this in a while but it felt good to be back modelling...Hope the eyes can hold out with this yellow plastic..No pictures due to no hosting site...

QUESTION? 64 Dodge to 65 Dodge

Would the 1964 Dodge square roof (Lindberg) fit on a 65 Dodge Coronet(Polar Lights)? I have a few convertibles and drag cars that would be good doner cars. Are the two kits the same dimensions or would there be lots of filling/cutting involved to make them the same size.
