Dale....absolutely beautiful Willys. The changes you've made truly enhance what is already a really nice kit and the paint is excellent. Both the content and execution are very nice!

Just a little "bump" so the Pick Up and Coupe could hang out together. B)

Thanks Guys...these old kits may have their shortcomings but they sure are lot of fun to build and with a little care the results can be surprising.

Pete, I'll bet that paint is spectacular in the sun.  How about some outdoor shots?  The pair of Willy's really make for a nice photo.

Cheers,

Tim

Tim...As soon as the sun comes out I'll get you a couple of outdoor shots.

Wow, I really like that--and it looks like maybe you got the front end to fit and hinge as well, no mean feat in itself. Well done!

Snake....Both the Coupe and Pick Up required a little work to get the frontend to line up with the body.   I installed the front ends and hinges prior to gluing the body to the chassis,  cut off the body locating pins on the chassis, and then slid the body into place and lined it up with front end...used 5 minute epoxy to glue it down so I had time to move it around before the glue set.  While the alignment isn't perfect it's a lot better than it was using the pins to locate the body.

Aloha...Pete

Easy to see why these things are still so popular.    Here's the Boss Nova with a few Mods.   Just picked up the latest issues of the Mustang and Corvair, looking forward to adding them to the shelf.
