In Topic: MPC resin body building a Barry Setzer Vega

Hi Rodger , I used to build only Revell cars , but when you sit a Revell funny car from the 70's era next to a Bruce Larson or Grumpys Vega pro stock the Revell car drawfs it and it doesn't look right (so that takes care of the scale ). As far as accuracy when you build a Revell car you almost have to put one of the big slicks from the newer funny cars to make it look right and to fill up the wheelwell and don't even get me started on the Monza rear wheelwell ...LOL...ITS HUGE . So I think and this is my opinion that the MPC funny cars are more accurate. Also there are 2 different lentghs of chassis's that MPC made (the Vegas measure out to 117 wheel base and the later cars (Omni, Firebirds and Corevettes ) measure out to 120 wheel base which is what is in the kit and which is what those cars roughly measure out to be . Lastly I do all of my own decals for the cars so I can keep ajusting the decal to get the best fit I can and its fun to draw them and I'm the only person I know of that is doing decals for the MPC cars ( less compettion) LOL. For your other question yes , I have other sets of bodies and decals on ebay

thanks Chuck
