I honestly had no clue where to put this so if this is in the wrong section please move it.
Anyway, I recently won an ebay auction for a set of Fujimi OZ racing wheels. Now I thought these were just a normal set of wheels just older, 1991 to be exact not the oldest I have by them but they still have some age. Now when I opened the box I found out that these were metal! Solid no plastic what so ever. My question is were these made alot? Also are they rare? I would actually prefer these over plastic, they seem easier to paint.

New project! My 94 Integra replica/dream build!
07 March 2011 - 06:30 PM
Well I have been wanting to do this build for quite some time now, actually ever since I got into this hobby.
Alittle back ground info on my old Integra and the plans for this build. A few years back even before I had my license I had always wanted a 94-01 Integra, I eventually got a chance to buy one of my dream cars and went for it! I got myself a beautiful 94 Acura Integra with an LS/VTEC swap, suspention, mint interior, and more. I loved this car, it was everything I wanted!...or so I thought.
Here she is!, or was. My 94 Thunder Grey Integra.!

I had huge plans for her! Full 98+ front and rear end conversion, new suspention and wheels, and down the line a turbo or GSR motor swap. However, I never got the chance to do any of this
The reason being is that The perfect car that I loved...was not as perfect as I thought. Because of my hasty buy I failed to pay attention to several things about the car. I soon found out that it had been wrecked, not bad I thought, until I discovered that the whole left rear quarter panel was body filler
After that discovery things just got worse. I found out that the motor was some sort of frankienstien build that was held together with zip ties. I aslo discovered that the VTEC did not work properly. No big deal I thought, I would just save up and fix it, and then the worst happened.
I soon found out from a friend that the owner had coppied the keys to the car the day before it was sold to me. They then gave the keys to a car thief they were friends with. I would literaly watch people drive past my house trying to scope out a way to get the car! It had to be blocked in nightly just so It would not get stolen. I then came to a desision, I was going to sell what had started off as my dream car.
So I sold her. I found someone who lived far enough away that the theives would not be a problem and that could fix her and make her how she should have been. That was a few years back and I am still on the search for another Integra, this time however I will do my reaseaerch.
Now! Sorry about the long story but onto the build plans. I will be building this Integra to be what I wanted my 94 to be. With the body, rim, suspention, and motor that I had planned. So, let the building begin!

Nashville TN store close out
22 January 2011 - 07:46 PM
Just a heads up for anyone in or around Nashville. Aardvark Model Train shop is closing its doors
For anyone who has never been there they sell way more model kits than trains. They always had an amazing selection of models weather it be American or Japanese and amazing parts for the kits as well. I have picked up a good amount of rare Aoishima rims from there in the past and the even carry Promo Cars. Anyway everything at the store is currently 20% off and Im sure it will get lower with time. Go grab what you can before its all gone and meet the amazing owners of this place before its gone. Today while I was there they still had over a hundred kits left.
First Build of 2011 Toyota Celsior
19 January 2011 - 05:44 PM
Hey everyone! This is my first build of 2011, a Junction Produce Toyota Celsior or Lexus LS for those of us in the states. I know that cars like this only appeal to a select few and I happen to be one of them
Anyway, for those who dont know what Junction Produce is they are a company that cater to the VIP style cars of Japan. They Produce interior excessories, tasteful body kits, and various other things for these cars. VIP cars are generally Japanese luxury sedans that are lowered with camber, body kits, rims, and luxury interiors. This model has all of that.
here is an example of a real VIP car

And one of Junction Produce's most well known Items, witch the kit actually includes.

The overall model kit was pretty good. I had a few fitting issues with some of the clear plastics but that was about it. Looking back on the build now I realize that I could have done a few things alot better and will probably be doing so in the future. It is definently not my best work but I think it turned out okay. The Color is Burgundy Red Metallic by Testors/Ford. It is sprayed over a black base.
Here is a side shot, also I appologize for the photos my camera sucks

You cant see the interior but it is nothing special just a two tone black and Burgundy. Thanks for looking!

Honda Civic Hatch
06 November 2010 - 09:14 PM
This is the first build I have ever posted on here. The model is Revell's Civic Hatchback. I have built one of these before but It was only my second build so I messed it up pretty bad. This build for me is going to be somewhat of a dream car build. I love these cars in real life so I am planning on building this one like how I would build my own. I havnt done too much so far but I just picked it up today. So far I am going to be using the stock bumpers that came in the kit as well sa the stock wing. I never liked the looks of the body kits. It will be lowered and sitting on a set of Aoshima rims I picked up. Now onto the pics.
First off here are the wheels. They are a set of Aoshima BBS RG's. I found them at my local shop somewhat hidden in the back. Very happy I found them!

Next is a comparison of the motors. The one on the left is the one I just built, and the one on the right is from the first civic I built. Id say I did a pretty good job this time around. Its still not really done yet. Im planning on adding some wire's and other things to make it more realistic.

This is what I have done so far on the dash and center console. Not much just small details but they are there and I think they add to the kit.

And finally this is the stance I am going to hopefully have when I finish this build. This is just a mock up but Im pretty happy about the look.

Im still debating on what color im going to paint it. Im thinking about trying to match the stock civic color called Midori greed. Im still thinking about a few other colors too though. Anyway thats all for now but stay tuned for updates!
