Are there any affordable Ford Pinto model kits available? The ones I see on Ebay are going for a premium. I raced mini stock circle track in the past and would like to find some kits to play around with if they are out there.
My first kit that I will be building to reenter the hobby is the Tamiya Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Rally. It looks like it will be fun. Since it's a Mini, ALL of the parts are smaller than what I usually built in the past. It will also be my first Tamiya build.
What brushes do you suggest? I always used the cheap white Testors with the black bristles. Now that I'm starting over buying all new stuff, what other brushes should I look at. Anything that Hobby Lobby might have since they are convenient for me? I will be using Tamiya acrylics.
I have been out of modeling for a while now. All of my paints will need to be replaced. I always used Testors enamels since they are the cheapest and easiest to find. Now that I am starting over, I thought about trying Model Master or Tamiya. I can't get Tamiya locally. I don't have an airbrush. I've read that the acrylics work well with a brush and I've also read that they don't. I tried Testors acrylic years ago and I could not cover with it at all. Is it worth switching to one of these brands, or should I stick with the Testors enamel?
