About Me
Hello,
I've been a model car and 1:1 car nut for the past 30 years. I had to put the hobby on hold for several years when I moved away from home and got started in the world. Now, I've been back into building for five years and have firmly outfitted myself with a solid collection and workstation. It should last me a lifetime were an apocalypse to occur and leave me with nothing but my kits.
I don't have any specific theme when it comes to building or what I build. I do stick mostly to cars and light trucks. In the past few years I've built mild customs/hotrods, weathered projects, factory stocks, modified factory phantoms and a few Municipal class cop cars and taxis to name a few.
I like to experiment but with a moderate degree of caution nowadays. I've tried different approches such as grafting body parts, resin conversions and unreasonable kitbashing with mixed results. After awhile it can cut into your budget if you really push your building ability only to have it push back. Nobody is ever going to accuse me of being a professional builder yet nor can anyone say I don't totally enjoy the hobby and those within it.
My greatest nemesis to building aside from bare metal foiling and getting my airbrush to do what I say, is patience. However, with time and the support of fellow modelers such as you, I can only improve.
