Greetings everyone,
I would like to know what everbody does for trailers. It seems that there are very few, if any, commercially available. They really seem to be very far a few between.
Are the finished trailers that get posted kits that you folks have had for years or are they mostly scratch built or perhaps rebuilds?
Or are most folks just building without trailers?

I would like to hear from folks that have cast wheels and sent them, perhaps, to Chrome Tech for plating. What success' and problems have you encountered?
I'm thinking about casting some Cragar S/S wheels.

Greetings Tim!
I was just looking at your recent post of the Warren 359 Red oval and continue to be amazed at not only the quality of work you do, but how you do so many trucks. You truly have a passion for your "hobbie" :!:
All of this got me to thinking about your house expansion and all the trucks completed. What's you best estimate of how many trucks you've built since you've been seriously building :?: Okay, I promise to sit down before I read your reply.

Quality of Truck Kits Manufactured - Who's the best?

Hi,
I would like to know from you more experienced truck modelers who makes the higher quality kits Peterbilt & Kenworth). Perhaps, if you would, list the top 3 or 4 in order of best to worst? Or is the quality more dependant on the specific kit, which might be under discussion.
TNX in advance.

Newbie requests help with Peterbilt 359/379 conversion

Greetings all from a total newbie!
The good news, I've been inspired by Tim Ahlborn into building a 379 Pete.
Bad news: I don't know much about big trucks and as I understand it no one makes a 379 Pete kit.
Good news: I believe that you can take a 359 Pete and with after market hood and fenders convert it to a 379.
Problem: I don't know enough about the detailed differences between the two for the conversion. All I do know is the frame must be lengthened.
Goal: To obtain enough advise from those knowledgeable about the conversion and detailed reference material to do the conversion. Also, I think there is a 119 and 127 wheelbase version; I'm open to doing either one.
Any suggestions or the location of detailed information will be more than greatly appreciated.
