Jeep Gets a Lift

05 January 2013 - 06:08 AM

Happy new years fellow builders. I've been on this for a week or so. Started with the AMT Daisy Duke Jeep and a couple of AMT '57 Chevy Stepside kits. I'm using tires from a kid's diecast BigFoot type truck and the plan is to get some turned rims from Jim at MicroNitro. The top of the engine is still being decided but I have a few ideas in mind.

Here's a few progress picures.

1923 Ford 'T' Carny Wagon

13 September 2012 - 03:42 AM

This was a fun and different build for me. Its nice once in a while to shift gears and head off into a different direction. I started with the AMT Budweiser '23 'T' Delivery Van, cut off the back of the body and scratch built everything in the living quarters portion. I've got a couple of months into this one and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. I'll do a bit more weathering eventually.

'23 Ford 'T' Carny Wagon

22 July 2012 - 08:15 PM

Well, I've started another new project. Started this carney wagon that I was inspired from a Dr. Cranky posted photo. I started with the AMT 3 in 1 Double 'T' kit and thought the wheelbase wasn't long enough so I picked up an AMT 'T' Budweiser Delivery which strangely enough had the same wheelbase. The rear fenders are more suited to where this project is headed so I'll use those and the front of the cab which is flat as opposed to the one from the double kit that has a cowl. It doesn't look like much at this stage but its the first I've been able to do a rough mock-up after several days of work.
