Since getting back into the hobby after my plethora of beloved models was "destoted, lol=destoted:to have ones love, sweat and $$$$$$ in years of model works DESTROYED by an evil wife" I have started, boxed-up,screwed up,etc. I have gotten a bit "Cranky" with many ideas, and just happy to find joy in shopping again, Here is the freightliner amt cabover I started as a tribute to my granpa, I still need to find or make a double drop deck like the 1 in a another big rig post, "3 scratch built trailers". here is my work on this one I have been researching pics and color schemes since i don't have them any more. This is primered w/ marked idea for factory stripes, interior needs a small touch up, used flocking i got from michaels,12pk. 5.99 not glittery type, recollections is the name its better than 8bucks a tube at lhs, nice product only 2 iffy colors u can see how much is in the tubes still. silver chassis, engine close to color, am using chrome tanks and accessories from my own w900 kw kit. Silver metallic/purplish base with orchid and lavender stripes is happening as soon as the store opens so i can get my paints and some other goodies etc..also need paint for my "Fast Times z-28 model" That and thx again Dr.c, I need stuff for my 49 merc. now i see why you like this 1 so much, it is awesome..sorry for the novel, it just a grest day 2 be here.I have several soon to be's but this one needs finished comments, ideas, help is always appreciated. I'm gonna grab a scrapple sandwich and head to store it's 5 till..long live models!Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image[IMPosted ImageG]http://i1130.photobu...0515_084819.jpg[/IMG]Posted Image

Movie cars "Jefferson's Z-28 from Fast times ..?

I was goofing off at michaels to grab full set of the glitter-free flocking(clearance 4.99, 12 big tubes even) yesterday, had my coupon so i could get the '49 merc. and on clearance was the street burner '79 z-28 for 8.99, just happened saturday Fast times @ Ridgemont High was on late. I can't recall seeing anyone do a build up on that one yet? All i know is "my dad's a tv repair man, he's got an ultimate set of tools". Any ideas or has it been done? For once I at least know exactly what how to build the kit already at least, thx. jh
