I've started a new project for this years run, ill be building a 13' Ford Mustang out of a Revell Shelby GT500, i will still be building the DP Ranger but i thought this mustang will be a good cannonball car

 

Plans are complete tube frame (ala trans am/sport sedan) with a Roush Yates Ford Nascar Engine, large fuel cell, sequential 6 speed gearbox and a few other trick items

 

Build will more or less be a trans am car with a few mods

 

Heres the kit im starting with minus the engine which i've used in a different project

 

Here's my entry, started out building the interior tub, roll cage and dash started building on the Rolex 24 weekend and will be influenced by the cars in that race, I'm modeling my chassis off a Riley Daytona Prototype so in essence it will be a Riley Ford Ranger Daytona Prototype

After entering the 4th edition with green 81 Mustang and entering the 5th with a 61 Falcon but never got around to build it i'm entering this years with a 93 Ford Ranger with a 5.0L Ford cammer motor straight out of the Wallace Engineering skunkworks, it will be less working ute more prototypey and should be able to run for at least 24 hours
