This is what I ordered: http://www.ebay.com/...=item2c67579601
But, for those of you who are considering these, they are not a whole wheel . They are more like a 7 spoke hubcap. Nice detail, but only the very top of the outer wheel side with no way to mount without the kit wheels from the Revell GT500 I guess. I do not have the kit, but was going to update the wheels on my custom 1/12 '65 Mustang. If any of you have extra stock wheels from the kit I guess I might need to buy some from you or ??????

Have any of you ordered a set of the 7 spoke GT500 wheels?

Finally! Just got some B-I-G decals for more projects

It took years of looking, but I finally got some of the 1/8 and 1/12 decals I've needing for new projects (not that I need any new projects).
1- 1/8 scale Gold Leaf decals for one of my planned Lotus 72D conversions to the 72C Gold Leaf version.
2- 1/12 scale decals for converting a GMP Mclaren F1 GTR (street version) to the 1994 LeMans winning Ueno Clinic #59.
3- 1/12 decals to convert one of my GMP Gulf GT40 Le Mans winners (69) to a 1968 winner #9.
I don't know how I'll ever get these done, but I'm sure looking forward to trying. Yeah...somehow while we're moving oout of Vegas and back to Northern California. It's always "something" in the way of what's really important.

Here's a really cool rig you might want to build

I FINALLY GOT ONE!
23 August 2012 - 11:51 PM
It took me a couple of years to score another GMP 1/12 Gulf GT40. I have the 1966, 67, and 69 winners....so now I can convert the GMP #6 car to the 1968 winner #9. There are a bunch of marking (livery for you Brits) differences, and some other subtle stuff, but if I can get my desk cleared and steal time from other projects I will have th efull GT40 LeMans winning set. Yay!!
No pics yet. The "new find" is a bit rough, but it doesn't matter. It's the results that I hope will be rewarding.

Ever heard of one of these?

I know this is a 1:1, but I'm intrigued by the possibilities for a model. However, I am skeptical of it's authenticity. I am old enough to remember the Hertz GT350 "renta-racers" of 1965-66, but not only do I not recall them being sold in 1968, I cannot recall ever seeing one in Lime Gold. Though I headed off to boot camp in 5/68 I was working in Sacramento for Standard Oil right up to that time and was realllllly into all the hot cars of the era. This one puzzles me, though:
