Hello Everyone, My name is Jay Michaels, I have been building models for 17 long years. i stared when i was 5 years old building models with my dad. My first model was a Snap Tite monogram # 4 Ernie Ervin Kodak car, i beleve it was a 1/43 scale. Yea those were the good old days. My dad died back in 2003, i have to say i steped away from the hobby for about 5 years untill one day the wife and i and her son walked into a local hobby shop. My step son wanted to build a model. and the rest is history. I did notice the industry has changed over the years and the detailing envelope has been pushed over the top. The reason why i did get back into it is cause my dad showed me so much stuff and i have to keep it going to make him proud and to make myself proud. In April of this year My son will be here i just hope the model car industry will still be around to past my knowlege to the next generation.
