  1. Great stance! Much better than the original, especially since it was the wrong year.
  2. Thanks. I've done a rollback with that method with good results. "The Racer's Wedge" actually has dual axles, but the first axle is sized for a pickup bed. It wasn't exacltly in my plans, but I'll make it work!
  3. Has anyone built a truck using Jimmy Flinstone's rollback bed? I just got mine from Model Roundup. The casting is great, but I was hoping it would fit on the Wedge chassis. It's way longer! What could I use? Thanks! John
  4. Interestingly, according to the registry there was an option for "wood grain insert"
  5. Great information. Thanks. Yes, I noticed the body style in the kits didn't change much between the '74 and the '78 except for that molding. In some images I found it would be a break for a secondary color. It really doesn't make much sense for a yellow work truck though
  6. Does anyone remember the 1974 Dodge pickup? I pulled mine out of storage the other day, intending to restore it. But I noticed the kit (unlike the '78) has a beltline molding around it. The box art shows it to be black and chrome. But there is actually some woodgrain look to it. Does anyone know where I can find some reference material for it? I'm also looking for suggestions on what to do with it. Clean it and display it as is? Strip it and do something else with it? Thoughts? Thanks, John
  7. Has she had any issues with this kit? I'm stumped with my hardtop - it seems the body doesn't want to go all the way down on the chassis. Any tips?
  8. Thanks! I started out with a blue, but glad I changed it to gold and those decals.
  9. Personally, I had problems with where the front shocks mounted, which affected the whole front end. I also had to work on the interior tub to make sure it lined up. So check your fitment and you should be fine.
  10. Thank you all for your words of encouragement! I really appreciate it
