  1. Great stance! Much better than the original, especially since it was the wrong year.
  2. Thanks. I've done a rollback with that method with good results. "The Racer's Wedge" actually has dual axles, but the first axle is sized for a pickup bed. It wasn't exacltly in my plans, but I'll make it work!
  3. Has anyone built a truck using Jimmy Flinstone's rollback bed? I just got mine from Model Roundup. The casting is great, but I was hoping it would fit on the Wedge chassis. It's way longer! What could I use? Thanks! John
  4. Interestingly, according to the registry there was an option for "wood grain insert"
  5. Great information. Thanks. Yes, I noticed the body style in the kits didn't change much between the '74 and the '78 except for that molding. In some images I found it would be a break for a secondary color. It really doesn't make much sense for a yellow work truck though
  6. Does anyone remember the 1974 Dodge pickup? I pulled mine out of storage the other day, intending to restore it. But I noticed the kit (unlike the '78) has a beltline molding around it. The box art shows it to be black and chrome. But there is actually some woodgrain look to it. Does anyone know where I can find some reference material for it? I'm also looking for suggestions on what to do with it. Clean it and display it as is? Strip it and do something else with it? Thoughts? Thanks, John
  7. Has she had any issues with this kit? I'm stumped with my hardtop - it seems the body doesn't want to go all the way down on the chassis. Any tips?
  8. Thanks! I started out with a blue, but glad I changed it to gold and those decals.
  9. Personally, I had problems with where the front shocks mounted, which affected the whole front end. I also had to work on the interior tub to make sure it lined up. So check your fitment and you should be fine.
  10. Thank you all for your words of encouragement! I really appreciate it
  11. Got the AMT 66 Nova a while back. The fitment and instructions were awful, so I I really didn't think I'd like it at all. So I combined the decals from the Revell '69 Nova, and actually like the results. What do you think?
  12. Absolutely incredible. Great job on a very realistic looking model!
  13. That happens to be my 1:1 dream car! And you really nailed it. I guess since I can't afford a 1:1 I could go for the model! Great job
  14. Beautiful job on this Ford! Inspires me to want to build one!
  15. Thanks for sending the link to the build thread. I am just about finished with the Pro Street version. I added the details from Revell's "Super Nova" and those really made it pop. I'm sure you noticed in the instructions that there were many parts unclear of exact location. I had to install, remove, adjust, and reinstall many of them. I'll try to get some pictures posted this weekend when I am through. -John
  16. Which kit is the Nova? I've been working on the '66 Pro Street and have been fighting it all the way. I hope you had better luck with yours.
  17. Could you send me that scan of the instructions of the LA Chopper as well please? I'm trying to rebuild my 50 year old kit. Thanks! John
  18. How are you doing on this kit? I pulled mine out - the one I got in '71 - out of storage to fix. The chrome is now awful and it looks like it was built by a kid. It was! Me, back in Jr. High School. Can you tell me where the brake light mounts? Or send a pix? Thanks
  19. Would anyone have a scan for the instructions for Revell's Harley Heritage Softail Classic Snap, Kit 7302 in 1:8 scale? Thanks, John
