  1. That's it! I'm giving up on modeling and taking up crochet. That is just spectacular. The paint looks a mile deep. Fantastic.
  2. Wow is that just spectacular. Well done!!!
  3. Thank you all! I realized after I posted the pictures were of very poor quality. Here's some much better pictures. I also realized I forgot to paint the door handles!
  4. Greetings All! When I saw the Dart Sport in my LHS I knew I had to build one. My original plan was to build granny's slant 6 econo grocery getter. I was planning on cutting the console out of the interior and going bench seat. But as I got into the kit, I decided just to build it as a simple fun build. I did buy resin dog-dishes on ebay, and stole steel wheels out of a '62 AMT Corvette kit. The color is Testors Lacquer Chrysler Bronze with One Coat clear. My Dad's '69 Valiant was the same color. This was a simple, fun build. Comments welcome. Thanks!!
  5. One thing that you might want to consider in your builds. The windshield is incredibly thick and you have to remove the vent window glass. I used a black sharpie around the perimeter. That hides the thickness.
  6. Greetings all! Just built mine. A lot of flash, and terrible tail lights, but overall a simple and fun kit to build. The gauge decals really help the interior. Eric
  7. Thanks everyone! I took the body off last night and found the issue; the metal rear axle was too long. I bit of trimming and the body is hinged open. I'll post pics later. Eric
  8. Thanks David. I wish the camera could pick up the flake in the paint. It's like a bass boat.
  9. Greetings all! I finally finished a model I've been working on for a long time. This was a easy to assemble and fun kit! The finish is a Duplicolor Metal Specks finish with Testors clear over the decals. I'd love to show the chassis but the rear axle it a bit too wide...the tires won't clear the body to allow it to hinge open! I was most excited about the finish anyway. The entire kit is box stock including the motor. Comments welcome. Thanks, Eric
  10. Greetings All!! Here's another model I just finished. This is the Revel 1962 Corvette. I was surprised how much flash my copy had, but overall it went together well. The color is Testors One Coat Bronze. I added white walls using a Gelly Roll pen...a great skill I learned right here. Thanks for looking! Eric
  11. Greetings all! So far this summer has started off with a couple of fun builds that I'd like to share. The first is a Monogram/Revell 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. I painted the Trans Am with Testors Lacquer in Root Beer which I think pretty well captures Pontiac Brentwood Brown (which was the color of my first car, a 1:1 1977 Pontiac Catalina). Super simple build. My only gripe...no Trans Am lettering, so I stole it from a MPC Blackbird kit. Thanks! Eric

    '78 Trans Am

I had the bug to build a Trans Am to go with the '79 Z-28 I built earlier, so here's my rendition of a '79 T/A. The kit is Monogram, and the paint is Testors Root Beer lacquer. Thanks for looking ! Eric
  13. Beautiful! My parents had a '70 LeSabre sedan in same green. Great work!!
  14. Thank you very much everyone!
