  1. That chrome tree photo makes me curious. It looks like it has 2 carbs and the 2-carb intake manifold, too. But I don't see an air cleaner anywhere on the tree, so what kind of air cleaner would go over that dual-carb set-up? (I realize that this dual-carb set-up is not a factory stock set-up but a custom option found inside this kit).
  2. I hope they put the fender flares and the rear side-window louver pieces into this reissue like they had in the "Fuzz Duster" release!
  3. I've always loved the look/paint scheme of this particular car; your build of it looks great!
  4. This is an excellent build with a great "tutorial" aspect to it! Thanks for sharing your build-techniques here! You could resin cast a whole bunch of those great looking knock-offs and I'd bet they'd sell like little hotcakes!
  5. Beautiful build! Your chassis/paint work looks outstanding! Do you have any in-progress build pics?
  6. Sure hope both of these reissues include the separate flared-fender body pieces and the Volare also has the 2 louvered quarter-window pieces! Maybe they'd just have to open-up some gates on the molds to make this happen.
  7. Wow! A beautiful build with very impressive body and paintwork! The first thought that came to my head upon seeing your first few pics was that it was a nicely done "custom" Bug. Then, after seeing the remaining pics, I could only think, this is a wolf in sheep's clothing!
  8. Unclescott58, Well, for starters, I know that I never claimed to hate this kit! Its just that I've always wanted a well-done '70 AAR Cuda, (as far as I'm concerned, the AAR was the "star" of the '70 E-body lineup; yes, the Hemi has more bang-for-the-buck, but the AAR is an example of small-block automotive perfection, IMHO).
  9. From going through the 23 pages of the first post here regarding the initial release of this kit, I understood that the first release hit the retail shelves in late November of 2014. At least that's when several forum members first posted about getting their hands on one! I could easily be mistaken, but the point of this post isn't really "when" this kit first came out, but that it seems like there has been very, very little discussion about the next version of it for a long time. Does anybody have any updates about what might be coming next from this tool... and when?
  10. Well, the newly-tooled 1/25 Revell 1970 Hemi Cuda kit first hit the retail store shelves almost exactly 1 year ago. Has anyone heard any recent information regarding what the next possible version of this kit might be and when it might be hitting the retail store shelves?
  11. Tim, Thanks for posting this family album shot! As usual, they're all exceptional builds! I have yet to purchase this kit, but after seeing this post, it's moved-up to the top of my "Get" list!
  12. Bill, Excellent weathering work and worn-looking details! I really like that Green paint color that you used on this build; any idea what paint brand and color you used?
  13. I wonder if that "Breedlove Roof Spoiler" made for any aero or traction-advantage? I seem to remember that Craig Breedlove was an Engineer of some sort, (Mechanical?), but that spoiler design just looks like a bolt-on to enhance(?) the overall look of the car; not really providing any kind of performance enhancements. And I agree, Greg, a Javelin kit is long overdue!
  14. Tom, I'm building mine with a different set of resin Keystone wheels because I, like you, don't really care for the factory-stock mag wheel covers found inside the kit. I also removed the bumper guards from both bumpers because I don't like the look of those either. I'll try to post a pic of them sometime soon.
  15. I really like this build! Paint colors, detailing; everything looks very good! I actually like the way you handled the hood/roof/deck lid stripe better than that striping as done on the 1:1 Baldwin/Motion cars. I've hesitated finishing my own 1/25 B/M '70 Camaro because I could never resolve that 1:1 stripe design; now I think I'll steal your stripe design and use it on my own 1/25 build!
  16. Wouldn't a "regular" 4-4-2 convertible version of this kit become its third issue/release? As much as I agree with you that a "regular" 4-4-2 version of this kit is needed, I might think that another reissue of the '72 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible kit might result in a disappointing sales total for that "regular" 4-4-2 kit. My thought would be that Revell needs to make a more major revision to this kit to generate a good sales/financial result; in my opinion, a major revision like issuing it in hardtop form. (Maybe a "regular" 4-4-2 hardtop; I'd bet that would be a sales success!)
  17. Wasn't there talk at one time of this kit also being reissued with a hardtop body? (I suppose that Revell's Product Planning Dept. always intended on releasing this kit a second time with the Linda Vaughn figure, so maybe they've now taken the convertible version "as far as they can go", and the hardtop will be in the next year or so)?!?
  18. Good to know; thanks Can-Con! My memory was telling me that there was also a resin-cast roof-piece to add to the kit's convertible body converting it to a hardtop. Does anybody remember a resin roof-piece like that ever being available?
  19. In the distant-past, wasn't there a resin caster who also sold a factory-stock resin hardtop for the '50 Ford convertible kit so it was possible to build a factory-stock model? And if anyone remembers that to be the case, any idea who it was that offered that resin hardtop?
  20. I can't wait for this one to become available; thanks for the pics Bill! First time I've seen any images of this upcoming kit, and so far they look great!
  21. Sure would like to see some more pics of this little monster! A shot of the bottom-side especially just to see how you crammed all of that underneath that tiny body! Looks great!
  22. We haven't heard much lately about this upcoming release from the good people at Moebius; has anyone heard any new developments?
  23. There are alot of things to like about this kit, and a few to be aware of when building it. Others have previously-posted/discussed their thoughts that the overall engine is scaled alittle bit too small for being a 355-CI Mopar "R" small block, but in my opinion, once it's built-up, it looks pretty good. My biggest concern with this kit is the track of the front wheels if built using all of the kit's front suspension and wheel pieces. Using the kit's pieces, the 2 front tires will stick-out a long, long ways from underneath the front fenders; unrealistically wide in my opinion. Correcting this wide-track condition by modifying the kit pieces looks to me like an extensive undertaking, so my plan was to swap-out the 2 front inner wheel pieces with 2 from a mid-1990's AMT/Ertl Nascar kit as these inner wheel piece's mounting-point is much deeper inside the wheel, thus, pulling-in the width of the 2 front tires once finally assembled. The original release of this kit was heavily-based on an actual, 1:1 Chrysler Kit Car and does a really good job of looking like the real thing once completed.
  24. I wonder if Round-2 will be pushing to get 1 or both of those big Poncho reissues into the retail stores before the newly-tooled Moebius '61 Pontiac Ventura lands on the store shelves!
  25. So after doing a little research, I can see that both of those Pontiac kits, (AMT '65 Grand Prix and MPC '70 Bonneville), look like highly-potential future purchases. One question tho; I have never really cared for most of the suspension components molded directly into the main chassis piece as it looks like both of these kits have. Any suggestions for more-detailed 1/25 replacement chassis pieces, (and the kits they'd come from), that would be appropriate to go underneath either one of these big Ponchos?
