  1. Haha, thanks guys comments were hilarious, I kind of want to add "ran when parked" to the for sale sign now!
  2. The Interior is trashed too.... Somebody already pulled the motor.. And the trunk is full of junk!
  3. Sorry Mopar enthusiasts! I did't start with a good kit though! The pillars had been crushed and bent, missing parts and it was molded in brittle yellow plastic. Serious rust issues.... Various dents and body damage..... Underside isn't much better.
  4. I have had this kit for a while. It was the one that was molded in metallic blue. It was in rough shape and missing most of its parts so I turned it into a barn/field find. I made all the glass from clear plastic, used tape to "weather" the Super Bee stripe, and added some dents, rust, and primered panels A couple tires and some body work and she would be good as new! The owner is even ready to sell it! Ouch, rust in the pillars isn't looking too good
  5. Thanks, got a little more done on the red one Camo headliner: Fabricated a front bumper, it will get diamond plate on top, paper clip tow hooks, and some kind of brush guards for the headlights Thinking about adding lift blocks to make the tire clearance a little more realistic for something that could be driven off-road. I got the windows tinted and I turned the one piece rear window into a 3 piece with a center sliding window. I finally finished polishing the body too.
  6. Wow! That intake is crazy! Whole car is awesome, great skills!
  7. Headlights on the Gremlin are awesome!
  8. Clean builds, the ramp truck is awesome as well!
  9. Thanks! Peter, the rear tires are Nascar goodyears with the letters facing inward. I then sanded the the smooth side and hand-painted the M/T logos with a white Jelly Roll pen available from most art/craft stores. Jake, I like yours is it an 88 too?
  10. Great Thank You, My Mom's 1:1 has that trim and I want to build a model of it.
  11. I had a couple of these kits and I wanted to build something fun. It's just supposed to be a daily driver that has been abused a little. It has some rust issues, missing trim and some dents and dings. The owner took repair into his own hands and slathered some bondo on the doors and fenders. The passenger door handles were ripped off after an encounter with a corn field and a guard rail! The other side isn't much better. One of those yellow poles in front of the local store has met the drivers door once or twice. More bondo, a nice dent from hitting a dear and a misaligned hood latch to go with it. The rear bumper is barely hanging on with some rope after backing into a tree. Cracked the back window too. Front trim is messed up too, parking lot snow drifting ended with a mangled front bumper and hood trim, along with a slight front end misalignment! It's hard to keep the windshield clean with only one wiper, but hey it's not cracked....yet The tired 396 managed to run a 13.90 at the local drag strip. It might have involved nitrous or it was only 1/8 mile I can't remember... Did I mention it likes to over heat??? The new upper radiator hose didn't seem to help.. Underside is dirty and the oil pan gasket seems to be leaking The owner did some custom hand painted graphics as well
  12. Looks good! I think the air cleaner is my favorite part!
  13. Great build! Is the chrome side trim above the body line a kit decal?
  14. Finally, some progress! I got the firewall and bumper detail painted, I decided to go body color. The springs are actually from work, they are out of a 1:1 transmission, I think they might work great for this truck. Speaking of suspension, I was originally thinking four-links, but that limited my space to park another truck under the Duramax. The solution was to use the factory leaf springs with the ends trimmed and custom drop brackets fabricated: Mock up Now the stock rear was way too wimpy so I decided to scratch build what resembles a Dana 60 I thought it came out pretty cool, I still have to finish trimming it, add a breather and build the front diff. I would like to find some photo etch bolt heads for the cover. I still need to build a hitch and a drop receiver. I think I going to tint all the tail lights too.
  15. Thanks Guys! I finally made it back to the bench to wrap up the Camaro.... I painted the cage semi-flat black, with heat shrink used to replicate roll bar padding and detail wire used for zip-ties I also scratch-built a battery box with more detail wire used for the cables. I also finished the rear down bars of the cage The roll bar is installed for good and the interior is finished! More pics! I also wired the shift light after I glued it on for the third time(kept hitting it mocking up the cage). All Done! Do you guys usually post your finished drag cars in the "Underglass" section too?-Thanks
  16. Hey guys I'm still here, school has kept me very busy. Next week is spring break so I'll have some modeling time and I will have more progress pictures up for you guys!
