Very nice clean looking build. Great color and paint work, and I like the setting for your pictures.
Thanks, epso. The setting is just so top of the wife's Infiniti in front of my house. I was just getting some daylight pictures and it was handy. Some day, I will make a little Dio to take pics on, but until then, the roof of the cleanest car will likely be my photo booth. Lol
Thank you so much, all of you. It is this encouragement and support that keeps me coming back to this site.

Really like this build! Your paintwork looks outstanding! Also really like your wheel choice; where did you source those wheels from?
Thank you guys for the compliments.
I got the wheels from a Fujimi 180SX Type-X.

What a Terrible kit! I have been working on one for about 10 years or so. I found the Poncho conversion on eBay, used the frame from either a Baldwin Motion or stock 70.5 Camaro, but when I started to work on the interior, I just kinda gave up, because the Revell kit came out and there was no way my work could stand up to the new kit straight built oob.
I may drag it out again and just finish it slammer style or something.
Good luck on your build. I hope it turns out well for you.

Thanks, Brian. I just got the tail lights painted and installed, the wing is on, most of the decals on, still have some underhood decals, the fog lamps and license plates to go. I may still decide to blackwash the rims but definitely need to find some SVO decals for the center caps.
Thank you all for your support. The replies, critiques and support keeps me going.

The way I see it... The challange is just to get something finished by the end of the year. Holidays and cold weather (for me) is a big hurdle. I'd go with it... No judgements, and no cheaters?
Oh, it'll be completed by the end of the year. LOL. I won't "enter" it into the group build. I think I will dig out my F31 Leopard. I will have to repair or re-do the paint again, but I could probably finish it pretty quickly.

Good question! Let's say you have to have started it over a year ago, or let's say before the end of the year 2017. If you've been working on it that long, but not actively and continuously, I'd consider it "stalled." That sound fair?
I would have felt like I was a little bit of a cheater if I put the SVO in the hat. Lol
I'll see if I can find something.

Sorry, double post.

I have a question. Would you consider a stalled project something that is a current project? I have been stalled on it several times and over the last year. Technically, everything I have is a stalled project. I don't know if I could stomach putting away the SVO to drag out something else from the abyss of unfinished work.

Aw , man ! Perhaps a carefully wet sanding with 12,000 grit paper will dress it down ? Repaint the whole fender ; should (hopefully) blend ...
My plan exactly. I already did it to the roof, the right rear quarter panel and the right fender. I have plenty of experience fixing this paint, unfortunately! Lol!

Minor update....that took for.....EEEVERRR to make! I fabbed up some vacuum lines, re made the brake booster line, and the most challenging part, the throttle cable and linkage. Enough typing, my eyes hurt. I gotta rest.
Here is the spiral/return spring.
Now here is the part that was frustrating. I made a fuel rail that didn't fit, so I just left it off, save it for another build.
Thanks for watching

I haven't had much bench time but I did get the engine started.
STARTED!?!? It looks like it RUNS! Great job!

Maybe I can get Alex to finish painting my 180SX and put it in the hat.

I have a few that I wanted to finish. The SVO I have been hacking away on is nearly done, which will let me focus on something else. Hopefully I can get something going with this build also.

True. Just another one of the many inaccuracies of the kit. I'm not worried about it. Just like in real life, it could be a 2.3 from a ranger or t-bird that was swapped in. It looks the part. Lol

Do you plan on installing the windshield washer reservoir?
On the Revellogram SVO, it is represented by the shape on top of the fuse box, by the battery. I painted it white. I also plan to build a coolant reservoir and mount it by the battery at the radiator core support.
I think the MPC/AMT kit carries over inaccuracies from earlier version of the fox mustang. The coolant bottle you show is not an accurate detail, which is simply a kit flaw. I think yours looks great.
I also have taken a LOT of liberties to make it look busy, even if it isn't 100% accurate.

looking good , your eye for detail is of the chart , and some red , just in time for Halloween !
Thanks for the compliment, Robert! Being an automotive technician by trade helps with details and things like where and how things get dirty, how some parts are new some are old, it is very helpful.

Ken, you've not lost a beat! Fantastic work as usual!! And thank you again for the wheels you sent me YEARS ago!!
Thanks Tonio!
Did you ever use those Equips on anything? I was thinking about using a set on this model, but they just looked a bit too big.

Thank you all for the compliments.
Gino, The Fox Body Mustang has always been a favorite of mine. The Euro styling of the SVO that is shared with the Ford Sierra XR4Ti always caught my eyes.
Thank you Steve. I have been trying to keep my finger prints off of the glass and paint. It is difficult! Lol
Thanks Jim! This was a trial with acrylic paint and I think it's fair to say I got pretty good results. I used Testors MM Ice Blue Pearl over black and Testors Acrylic Gloss Clear, lots of polishing, but it went well. Also, it is incredibly easy to repair .
Are you kidding me, Curt!?!? That TA, Galaxy, and Maverick you built are amazing!
Ron, the engine was a challenge, I'm not going to lie. And I just got tired of chrome lenses and decided to do something about it. Thank you for the compliment.
