  1. I agree Carl.... Some prices and shipping charges on kits on E-Bay are somewhat comical to say the least. I work in shipping and receiving and in this day and age nothing is cheap to ship. I am lucky to be in an area with a few hobby shops, and swap meets at shows close. So I can always find what I want at a decent price. And when I look for kits I can't find there, patient shopping on E-Bay always results in a purchace I am willing to pay. I still have'nt had to use other online sellers, I have looked at some of thier sites and see there are some nice deals there also , even with shipping charges. As for the price gougers... they can keep thier stuff...!!

  7. Thats a good point Joe. That could possibly be a good reason for a kit in the wrong box at a retail store. I didn't thik of that. But that does sadly happen sometimes in this hobby. I bought a Stars and Stripes Corvette at a swap meet still shrink wrapped, it was a box of empty sprues and a couple pick up truck beds.
  8. Wow... I have been collecting kits for 23 years and have never run across a kit in the wrong box or half and halves.... Guess I have been lucky...
  9. Very sorry to hear this news..! I was lucky enough to have met Del once in Toledo Ohio at the NNL .... Very nice guy and a great builder, he spent some time sharing some tips and some of his techniques with me.
