The grille is not quite right. It should totally flat from one end to the other. The AW Sport Fury GT die cast dips in front of headlamps. Making it look more like a ‘69 Caprice with the optional hidden headlamps, than a ‘70 Sport Fury. Beyond that, it looks pretty good.

I just finished building the new ‘71 Demon in the last week (I need to post pictures). What a wonderful kit. So I’ll be pleased if the ‘72 is based off that kit. Though no factory air conditioning with it. In my imagination, I’ll just have to sweat the summers out driving in these cars. Or imagine they have air, even though they don’t.

Why is a nice “stock” Capri mk 1 not available? The car was such a big seller in real life. And in so many different markets. I’ve never seem a plain/stock mk 1 kit ever in 1/25th or 1/24th scale. This has baffled me years now.
Make mine a US spec version of course. Or at least a left hand version with a V6.

The ‘63 LeMans convertible and the ‘72 Duster interest me. And I’ll probably get both.
I’m assuming the ‘72 Duster is a modified version of their ‘71 Duster kit. From looking at the decal sheet, it’s obvious they changed to correct longer ‘72 taillights. The other change I hope they know to make is to the dashboard/instrument panel. The ‘72 Dusters and Demons went away from ‘67-‘69 Barracuda style dashboard they used in ‘70 and ‘71, to plain the dashboard/instrument cluster used in other Valiant and Dart models of that year.
I hope they keep the under-dash factory air conditioning unit found in the newer ‘71 Duster kits. I like my rides to be cool. In more ways than one.

Also, what the rectangle shaped thing in the license plate area of the rear bumper? Beautiful kit. But the hood and rear bumper are things I don’t get with this kit. A license plate can hide what ever is on the bumper. But, there is nothing to hide the scooped hood.

The lack of a non-scooped hood is a no go for me on this kit. I’m surprised that with them releasing two different versions of this kit, that one could not have come with the stock, no hood scoop, hood. I a little disappointed with Moebius on this one. Not all of us are into drag race versions of this car.
Maybe a resin caster will take care of this.

I too would love to a styrene version of the ‘72 Road Runner. I’ve always loved the front end on that car. In my opinion it looked better than the’71. Front and rear.

Any word yet, will this model include a flat, non-scooped, “stock” hood or not? It makes a difference on whether I buy the kit or not. I love ‘64 Comets. I’m hoping I can build just a “regular” showroom stock Cyclone. No fancy “drag scoops” on the hood.

I’m presently working on this kit. The other day I was following the instructions on drilling a hole, with an Exacto knife, for mounting the inside rear view mirror. The window decided to split in half. Now I’m looking for a replacement windshield. Is there anybody who can help me out there?

So far everything on my 1/16 scale 1963 Corvette Sting Ray build has been going really good. I have a beautiful Tamiya light metallic blue paint job on the kit, that looks great. It’s time to install the glass. The instructions say to drill a hole, with an Exacto knife, in the front glass to make a hole for mounting the inside rearview mirror. This is where I ran into a problem.
As I’m working on the hole, the windshield ends up splitting in half. Now I need a replacement. Is there anybody out there who can help me? It would be greatly appreciated.

The 1/32 scale kits are nice. The 1/25 scale kits, not so much.

Started stripping tonight, the bad chrome on a Pyro 1/32 ‘32 Pierce Arrow custom convertible that I bought a while back. Overall it looks like a nice kit. Some stuff is already glued together. I have those parts in my freezer, seeing if that will help break some of the stronger glue bonds. Beyond that, I’m just missing the windshield and one parking lamp. I’m sure I can make those. But, if anybody has a spare of those parts, it would be greatly appreciated if I could get them.
